Ayelet 
Waldman's compelling novel about, Emilia Greenleaf, a mother in New York coping with the realities of marriage and family, and not least of all the pain of losing her newborn baby, is now in production as a major film here in New York. The director, Dan Roos--perhaps most famous for his directorial debut The Opposite of Sex and the soon to be released film adaptation of Marley and Me--wrote the screenplay.
